“FREE THE MASS” / “QUEREMOS LA MISA” WALK FOR FREEDOM TO WORSHIP

Schedule of processions/demonstrations & Outdoor Mass at Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption on Sunday Sept. 20

Starting Points for those joining processions from San Francisco parish churches

8:30 a.m., St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3215 Cesar Chavez, near Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94110.  Led by Father Moises Agudo, who will carry the monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament, and will walk to United Nations Plaza.

9 a.m., St. Dominic Church, 2390 Bush St, near Pierce Street, San Francisco, CA 94115. Walk along Bush Street until Polk, then right on Polk to UN Plaza

9:15 a.m., St. Patrick Church, 756 Mission St near 4th Street, San Francisco, CA 9410. Walk along Mission Street to 7th Street. Travel along 7th Street to McAllister and then turn left and walk one block to UN Plaza.

10 a.m., All processions Join Archbishop at United Nations Plaza

Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone will greet the people coming in the three processions as well as those who arrive independently at UN Plaza. Archbishop Cordileone will then carry the monstrance in procession to the Cathedral.  The entire group leaves UN Plaza at 10:15 a.m. and walks along McAllister, west to Franklin and then right on Franklin to the Cathedral.

10:45 a.m. Arrival of procession at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption

11 a.m., outdoor Masses at Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption

1. Multiple outdoor Masses of 50 people at each
2. Homily by Archbishop Cordileone
3. All must wear masks
4. Contract tracing forms collected
5. Masses will be in Spanish, Chinese and English

Puntos de partida para quienes se unen a las procesiones de las iglesias parroquiales de San Francisco:

8:30 am – Iglesia de San Antonio de Padua 3215 Cesar Chavez (cerca de Van Ness Avenue), San Francisco, CA 94110. Dirigido por el Padre Moisés Agudo, quien llevará la custodia con el Santísimo Sacramento y caminará hasta la Plaza de las Naciones Unidas .

9 am — Iglesia de San Domingo 2390 Bush St, cerca de Pierce Street, San Francisco, CA 94115. Camine por Bush Street hasta Polk, luego a la derecha en Polk hasta UN Plaza

9:15 am, Iglesia de San Patricio 756 Mission St cerca de 4th Street, San Francisco, CA 9410. Camine por Mission Street hasta 7th Street. Siga por 7th Street hasta McAllister y luego gire a la izquierda y camine una cuadra hasta UN Plaza.

10 a.m., todas las procesiones se unen con el arzobispo en la Plaza de las Naciones Unidas

Arzobispo Salvatore J. Cordileone saludará a las personas que vienen en las tres procesiones, así como a las que llegan de forma independiente a UN Plaza. El arzobispo Cordileone llevará la custodia en procesión a la catedral. Todo el grupo sale de UN Plaza a las 10:15 a.m. y camina por McAllister, al oeste hasta Franklin y luego a la derecha por Franklin hasta la Catedral.

10:45 a.m. Llegada de la procesión a la Catedral de Santa María de la Asunción

11 a.m., misas al aire libre en la Catedral de Santa María de la Asunción

1. Múltiples misas al aire libre de 50 personas en cada una
2. Homilía del Arzobispo Salvatore
3. Todos deben usar máscaras
4. Rastreo de contactos
5. Las misas serán en español, chino e inglés
